Xiaomi smartwatch likely to be official on November 24

While Xiaomi is preparing a stage for the Redmi Note 2 Pro and Mi Pad 2, a new rumour has emerged that this would also be the place for a smartwatch. The company has already schedule a press event in China for November 24 to make the new announcements.
If we believe the words by a leakster based in China, first smartwatch and third wearable device following the Mi Band and Mi Band 1s fitness tracking smart wristbands.
Although details about the Mi smartwatch are yet to be revealed, global vice president Hugo Barra in a ‘Ask Mi’ video had suggested the development of the new smartwatch back in November. “Of course, we have been experimenting with smartwatches and other crazy things. [But] we havent decided yet that we are ready to launch a smartwatch,& Barra said in the video session on YouTube.
Multiple sources suggested that the Beijing-based company is in plans to develop its own software iteration for the smartwatch that would have some features similar to Googles Android Wear. Apart from developing the software, one of the sources had earlier told TechOne3 that the company is quite inclined towards the Apple Watch.
Similar to Mi Band models, the Xiaomi smartwatch is expected to have Android compatibility with some features limited for Mi devices. This would help the company maintaining demand for its smartphones that declined in the past due to delay in launch of its new models.
Xiaomi is set to launch the Redmi Note 2 Pro and Mi Pad 2 in addition to the rumoured smartwatch. Both the new devices are speculated to run on Android Lollipop with the latest MIUI 7 skin on top and would have 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 chipset.
