2018 new smart phone oneplus 6T Lunch with longer battery.

OnePlus wasn’t bluffing, new OnePlus 6T may come with huge 3700 mAh battery: All rumours and details

few weeks ago When OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei confirmed that the company’s next phone – the OnePlus 6T – will not come with the 3.5mm headphone jack, he also said that this would help the phone get a bigger battery. He didn’t reveal any details then but now there is a leak from China that confirms what he said. The OnePlus 6T is likely to come with a 3700 mAh battery, instead of 3300 mAh inside the OnePlus 6, and this should make the OnePlus 6T battery last much longer. The OnePlus 6T is likely to launch on October 17 in India, and Amazon has already gone live with the Notify Me page for it to give users regular updates on the upcoming device.

The battery information related to the upcoming phone comes courtesy a spy shot of OnePlus 6T battery that was posted on Weibo, the Chinese social media site. Although the battery’s rated capacity is 3,610 mAh, its typical capacity that is mentioned by phone companies in the specs sheet will be 3700 mAh. This is around 10 per cent more capacity compared to the battery inside the OnePlus 6 that has the advertised capacity of 3300 mAh. The bigger battery means the OnePlus 6T is certain to have better battery life than what the OnePlus 6 offers. In fact, it may have the best battery life in a premium phone given the size of the battery.

Apparently, the bigger battery inside the OnePlus 6T could be due to two reasons. One, removing the 3.5mm headphone jack may have helped OnePlus save some space, which it is now using to put a bigger battery. And two, the OnePlus 6 is expected to come with a bigger 6.4-inch display, and that also may have helped the company put a bigger battery in the phone.

While the battery information comes courtesy a leak, there are other details about the OnePlus 6T that have also come out, through official channels as well as through leaks. On Thursday, some specs of the phone leaked showing that the OnePlus 6T may continue to have a design similar to that of the OnePlus 6, complete with a slick glass and metal body. In addition to that we also know:

— The OnePlus 6T will come with a fingerprint display embedded under the screen. This has been confirmed by OnePlus through an email to Cnet.

— The OnePlus 6T display is going to have a waterdrop notch, similar to what we have seen in some of the phones recently. This should make the OnePlus 6T screen look even bigger.

— There are rumours that the OnePlus 6T may come with IP-certified water and dust resistant design.

— Fast charging is going to be a part of the OnePlus 6T, although this time around OnePlus may use some other name for it instead of Dash because of a lawsuit in Europe.

— The OnePlus 6T will definitely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It will also come with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

— There were rumours that the OnePlus 6T may have a triple-camera system. But that doesn’t look too convincing. Chances are that the OnePlus 6T will continue to use a dual-camera setup similar to what is inside the OnePlus 6, although it is possible that the camera performance may improve. In the leaked photos so far, we have seen a dual-camera setup in the OnePlus 6T, along with single selfie camera on the front.

— It is certain that the OnePlus 6T will come with OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie software. Just a few days ago, the OnePlus 6 got the Android 9 Pie update so the same software for the OnePlus 6T is extremely likely.

OnePlus starts teasing the phone

Although, there is no official confirmation about when the OnePlus 6T is launching, it is certain that it is coming in October. As for when in October, the rumoured date is October 17.

In fact, OnePlus, and its retail partner Amazon, have already made it clear that the OnePlus 6T is coming within weeks. Amazon already has a teaser page out for the device, where people can also leave their email ID to use the “notify me” feature and come to know about the OnePlus 6T launch whenever it happens.

Recently, OnePlus also revealed the name of the phone in an advertisement aired during a cricket match. In the video, which features OnePlus’ ambassador Amitabh Bachchan, the company partially showed the phone with Amitabh saying “OnePlus 6T is here.”

So far it has been rumoured that in India, OnePlus 6T will launch on October 17 and will go on sale from October 21. Its price is likely to be very close to, or may even be the same as the price of the OnePlus 6, which is Rs 34,999 for the base variant.
