Akshay Kumar’s recent released Airlift has been proved as one of the best movie of Bollywood 2016.
Airlift has been going strong at the box office.
After recording an opening weekend of Rs 44 crore approx., the film added another Rs 10.40 crore on
Monday. Airlift added Rs 17.80 crore on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the movie collected around Rs 6
crore. Overall, the 6-day total of the film stands at Rs 78.50 crore. Still one day to go, it will easily
become Akshay’s biggest opening week collections.
Not only the talks of collection, but the movie has been announced tax free in Uttar Pradesh. Bollywood
star Akshay kumar thanked UP chief minister Akhilesh yadav on Twitter.
He tweets, “Just been informed the Uttar Pradesh Govt. Has declared #Airlift as Tax Free. Thank you to
the young & progressive team led by @yadavakhilesh.”
Akshay’s “Airlift” co-star Nimrat Kaur retweeted his post and wrote, “So incredible and hopefully a first
of many more to follow. #TaxFree #Airlift.”
The film is based on evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait. The movie has been directed by Raja Krishna
Menon and co-produced by Nikhil Advani.
